‘We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day
dedicated to giving back. Today, Tuesday
2 December, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students
around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate
generosity and to give.’
This #GivingTuesday we would especially welcome donations to
our Medical and Surgical fund. Paying
for Albert and Reese’s liver transplants and long hospital stays has left this
fund depleted, limiting our capacity to take in other children with serious
medical needs.
The Medical and Surgical fund covers not just life-saving
surgeries but also general medical care.
For example, New Day covers the cost of the medical
check-ups that are required for the children’s adoption paperwork – a small but
necessary step in the journey towards to forever family!
Those not-much-fun-but-very-important immunization
shots? The Medical and Surgical fund
pays for those too.
